Post-Thanksgiving Post

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving (and that you’re still enjoying the leftovers). I know I’ve had quite a few delicious turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwiches recently.

On Sunday, friend of Wasted Food (but no friend of waste) Ted Lee, co-author of The Lee Bros. Southern Cookbook, e-mailed to say:

I was just thinking about Wasted Food ’cause my fiance and I were scarfing down some Thanksgiving leftovers: the brussels sprouts slaw, the red curry sweet potatoes, the cornbread stuffing–it’s all tasting great three days down the line!

Now your leftovers may not be that good, but at least they’re still good. As long as the turkey didn’t sit out all day, I’d guess it’ll be good long past the time you get sick of eating turkey.
