While there’s plenty of interest in composting, there’s less activity around creating fuel from food waste. That’s largely because food waste-to-energy operations require higher investment at first. Yet in the long term, creating energy from our excess may be more environmentally beneficial according to the EPA (under “industrial uses”).

wow! seems like a no-brainer. a solution to global warming AND hunger. why is it so hard to convince everyone to start thinking in this direction?
wow 1.3 billion tons?! wow you’re on to something here… i think we need all the help we can get with energy costs. So yes, definitey this is a normal brainer and we should try to get people on board.
