I’m guessing a carrot (actually a bunch of them grown together) too. Although a sweet potato squished as it was growing would be close second guess for me.
Some great guesses, folks. Thanks for playing along!
That green apendage in the back gives it away as…a carrot!
It was actually a volunteer carrot that soldiered through the winter. I found it in the one neglected raised bed in my yard, the plant miraculously poking through a hole in a planter, which had apparently provided shelter from the freezing temperatures.
You’re not gonna believe it, but it actually tasted pretty good!

It looks like a burger that was squished or something.
It looks like the offspring of a carrot and a celery root.
It looks like a salmon steak

I’m going with salmon, too. With roots.
If it’s not salmon with roots, it must be world’s flatest sweet potato.
Cooked salmon would fall apart if it were held like that, and it’s the wrong color & texture for raw salmon.
I’m guessing sweet potato or yam.
True. Probably something in the tuber family.
After looking at the picture again, maybe a carrot. Looks like there’s a little carrot-like appendage underneath.
Several carrots that grew together.
Looks like a funky carrot to me!

Whoa! That’s the craziest-looking carrot I’ve ever seen.
A Platypus bill
Bryce–great guess! But it was actually just a boring old duck bill…
FG–Indeed!
