Nobody Beats the Giz

I had a guest post on Gizmodo today and thought you should know. It was a neat chance to reach a different audience, and to be techy and punchy.

It was also a nice opportunity to enjoy some awesome Lego-inspired artwork.

The post prompted some fun comments, for sure (you should really scroll down to take a gander). But the majority of responses–aside from a few–indicate that wasted food really irks most people. Amen.

It was a great post. I am a regular reader of Gizmodo (bordering on obsessive)…and what stuck out for me was that when faced with the issue of food waste, the usual sophomoric humor that erupts in the comments went away…replaced by a conversation that, for the most part, looks like the comments posted on wastedfood.com. To me, this says you’re onto something that’s truly universal. Bodes well for AW, let’s hope! Also: if you want to really play to the tech-blog-reading crowd, think about what you can illustrate with Legos. They eat that up.
