A Pause for Life

If you’re reading this right now, I’m in the hospital. My lovely wife is now in labor. Well, probably. Unless you’re reading this a day or two later, in which case our son might have hatched.

Wow, this feels like a movie. Only if that were the case you’d be hearing these words in a soothing voiceover. Maybe done by Morgan Freeman.

Anyway…the upshot for you, dear reader, is that I won’t be posting (or sleeping) for a couple of days. Bear with me and know I’m doing my best not to notice the abundant hospital food waste. After all, there are more important things to think about right now.

    Congratulations! and good luck!

With your next one you can save hospital waste by having your baby at home!

We did. Nothing was wasted. We even kept the placenta.

    No kidding.

Reading this post reminded me of the final scene from Iron Eagle, where Chappie Sinclair (Lou Gosset Jr.) gives Doug Masters a pre-recorded cassette tape to guide him through the rest of the mission to rescue his father.

    But also…congrats.

Congrats! My husband and I welcomed our first boy 7 weeks ago — it’s quite a ride :) .

I found that we waste less food now because we’re trapped in the house. Therefore, we eat our leftovers because we aren’t as tempted to eat out or run to the store to get something more exciting.

You guys will be great parents!!
