On happier note, when the students leave in my town, we go dumpster diving. That's how I got a mop, broom, wastebaskets, pyrex pots brand new in the box (YES!), bowls, pans, knives, dishrack.....perfectly good stuff. Yes, it is a TRASH American society, in more ways than one. Not just food left behind, but sadly, pets as well.
